Poetry Prompt of the Day, 5
Write a homophoic translation. Use one poem from the following links as your base. As you translate, think about politics.
Note on the form: when you write a homophoic translation, you translate from a language that you do not know using what the words sound like to as you sound them out the best you can, so a line like "Ho dimenticato le parole" might come out as "Who demenented Lee's parole." The meaning will completely change, and each person will "translate the poem" differently.

Harlequins' roasted hair, more new Octobers,
men deranged at hellgate tanker mattes, as
some narrative failure main October in the van.
Then at more offices, men standing, hair righted nightmare.
I know. Medical taken fun, whoever comes.
The start I hopped for in vain made me narrow
in my massed medium ugly-sided anxiety.
