derailed perhaps. what happens when the literary establishment turns global electronically? can it happen? what stragglers will be left solely in print? will the distinctions between experimental and traditional be amplified into non-being electric space and hard copy presence? presence exists in either case in a hauntingly similar way, i.e. words in the non-being electric space or ink on the field of white. is this a battle camp discussion or an economic feasibilty situation for poetry? is poetry shifting to a trench mode in cyber nonthingness or spreading its connections via the accessiblity of the web? i tend to be positive about the entire situation, but that does not mean that i'm correct.
