just read over the Underdog Online's interview of me. i like being called a mastermind, but i don't feel like much of a mind at all. i tend to think of the editor's job as the easy part. the poets do the work; all i have to do is read and trust my inner ear (or whatever it is).
on another note, i received an impressive translation of senryu by gengoro from taylor mignon. those of you who have visited the current issue of moria will recognize his name from having made the translations of torii shizo, a japanese poet who i want to explore more fully due to mignon's translations. anyway, the translations of gengoro are in a book called Distant Frogs published by Hokuseido Press. it is one of the more interesting collections that has crossed my way lately.
