because of hurricane ike's remnants, i find myself off work for the week. here is a picture of indiana university northwest partially under water.

hopefully campus will dry out by next tuesday. i'm in the midst of using james' the turn of the screw in my literary theory class, and i want to finish it soon.

beyond that, i've finally started to write again. all of last year in kalamazoo, i managed to write little. now that i'm back in chicago, words are flowing again.

that reminds me that i've done very little to plug my latest book, colletive instant, a book that ernesto calls "essential." the description on the book is:

Collective Instant
brings together two chapbooks and a series of new works, including "Tracings from the Front," an extended piece exploring the language of conflict stripped and fragmented from its context. The poems in Collective Instant aim towards meanings, hope for meaning, while showing the inevitable absences between understanding and world, between the wild and ordered.

by the way, if you want to write a review of the book, let me know.

on another note, if you missed last month's series A, you can listen to it here.
