just got around to looking at vernon frazer's Improvisations (Book 3). enjoyable read, very musical. reading through the words, i felt in some sense lost in a trance created by sound. i don't even know if it matters whether i understand the surface level of the poems—the motion of the music will keep me returning to the work.
