once again the question arises--does this electronic non-being space create a new form of closeness in poetry? are we globalizing more rapidly as we cross-fertilize? is this a conversation only available to those in a position of relative power, i.e. in the language and countries of “supposed” power? if language has meaning only through its own web, need there be any connection outside of language to create literary history? can we rewrite history, not from the space of the victor, as benjamin discusses, but from non-being space? moreover, when we discover, if we do, other dimensions of time and space as theorized in quantum theory, will our preoccupation with space seem like primitive viewpoint? will we need to start thinking of a literary realm, perhaps like that eliot discusses, that can accept works from non-being space, space, and other temporal dimensions of space not yet discovered?
