A Daily Glance
Paolo Javier's the time at the end of this writing discusses many issues, such as love and poetics, and it plays with form. In fact, just flipping the book open to the center allows you to see how the poems move around on the page. The pieces at the beginning and the end of the book look more like traditional free verse. Throughout the book, the speaker is clear and full of energy, and the book at points borders on an independence claim and at other points it seems like a celebration of love.
