Adam Fieled's Apparition Poems screams Beatles' The White Album with it's all white cover**. The poems are lead by a speaker in the process of thinking through ideas in his poems, a thinker finding identity in his words. Philly is also a presence in the book, and Adam relishes in sarcasm and commentary. As someone who has read much of Adam's work, I think this book stands out as one of his best, and it would definitely serve anyone looking for a way into his work.
You can only transcribe by dying,
the things you transcribe are dying,
the way you transcribe is dying
by the time you transcribe,
so if you must transcribe,
you must die, or die trying
***After I wrote this sentence, I looked in Adam's bio and saw that an e-book of his that I have not read is titled The White Album.
