Genitalia, masturbation, menstrual fluids, food issues, pregnancy, lactation--all of these show up as majors areas of focus in her work. The way she writes about them is confident and present. At times it feels like we are just listening to her talk without any mediation through writing.

Childbirth was not dying or defecatingIt helps to have Angles' introduction to her work. It's short, but it sets the scene for her writing well. He shows her as innovative and important, and his ideas seem right on to me as I was reading her pieces.
